OVERVIEW· Possesses experience in Information Security consulting, and information security background knowledge on a wide range of non-technical and technical security support programs and processes, including a knowledge of IT and business security solutions that impact the security profile of the companys IT infrastructure.

· Acts as a security liaison with other departments, divisions, and organizations.

· IT security programs and processes.

· Shares and coordinates information and concepts regarding IT security polices and standards, assisting in evaluating, architecting, engineering, and implementing a range of information security services · Provides both high level security assessments, knowledge, and reports regarding networking infrastructure, remote access solutions, production hosting environments, access controls, vulnerability and threat analysis, messaging, application security, encryption technologies, network security analysis, and other client specific security projects.

· Conducts high level analysis of business and technical requirements, to formulate overall security action plans.

· Performs security risk assessments, audits, and devises scenarios to mitigate and prioritize risk while still meeting required timelines.

· Predominately works independently or with others to analyze security requirements to provide security solutions, for a variety of work locations and situations.

RESPONSIBILITIES· Works with others to provide high level security solutions for business/engineering and technical experts, both internally and externally.

· Conducts and directs research and/or development work on complex security projects necessitating the origination and application of new and unique approaches.

· Assists in the development, implementation, monitoring, maintenance and compliance of all information security standards, policies, and procedures.

· Provides security solutions to management and IT project teams to help raise awareness of Information Security issues and concerns affecting the corporation.

· Participates in the development or selection of cost effective security solutions.

· Participates in the system application development life cycle to ensure Information Security processes and concepts are incorporated into all applicable systems and software.

· Implements and administers oversight on the maintenance of all Information Security computer systems and hardware platforms.

· In a non-supervisory role, provides high level of accountability and responsibility.

· Interacts with predominately internal and some external auditors to ensure that corporate security systems have appropriate level of internal controls.

· Works to ensure compliance to corporate Information Security policies through audit reviews, department briefing sessions, security education, and other methods as appropriate.

· Oversees approved implemented processes and an access rule are followed and IS guidelines are adhered to regarding all or specified security systems.

· Oversees IS policies through the department providing management violation reports, develop and present security education and awareness, and taking appropriate action when security offenses occur.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEFour year degree and 6+ years professional experience or 8+ years professional experience is required.

Requires strong tech background in IS and related products and concepts Extensive understanding of Network concepts/technologies (Cisco, Extreme, Juniper) Mainframe products like ACF2, PC-based Windows applications, LAN/WAN operating systems, Internet/Intranet (firewalls, WEB sites, and browsers), virus controls, experience with Database Security Models (Sybase and Oracle on site), Solaris / Apache / JBoss, Microsoft IIS, PKI, IPSEC and related VPN technologies, RADIUS/LDAP authentication, and Cisco PIX firewalls.

Strong knowledge of ISO 27002, PCI/Logical Security guidelines, HIPPA, and models.

Highly motivated self-starter, with the ability to work in a cooperative manner with other team members.

Ability to troubleshoot technology with assistance provided from a central location.

Ability to communicate using excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Word, Access.

Microsoft Sharepoint is necessary.

PREFERRED SKILLS: CISSP, CISM, CAN, and CCIE certification(s) preferred.

Expert level knowledge and experience in a specific security application is preferred.

Also, extensive training in project management, Six Sigma, and team leadership is preferred.

Extensive customer relation experience and customer Help Desk experience preferred.
