Information Assurance Vulnerability Management AnalystAdelphi, MD Description: The Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) Analyst will monitor the implementation of and subscriber compliance to Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs), and provide technical support to Computer Network Defense Service Provider (CNDSP) subscribers on the Defense Research and Engineering Network (DREN) and Secret Defense Research and Engineering Network (SDREN).
As a member of the CNDSP, the IAVM Analyst will distribute IAVAs and track compliance and extension information such as Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
The IAVM Analyst will: - Manage IAVA distributions and track compliance within the Vulnerability Management System (VMS) portal.
- Disseminate CNDSP notifications (ie: INFOCONs, CTOs, FRAGOs, CAMs, SARs, EWINs, etc.) to Computer Network Defense (CND) subscriber sites and track acknowledgement.
- Provide support to Vulnerability Assessment Team (VAT) with analysis and distribution of scan results.
- Follow documented procedures for dissemination of CND notifications using a standardized template.
- Assist CND subscribers as necessary with remediation.
- Work with USCYBERCOM Compliance Monitoring and Reporting (CMR) Team on high risk vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
- Generate formal reporting of Subscriber compliance, for submission to the Program Office.
- Provide direct support to the Protect Team Lead as required.
Travel: minimal Required Experience: - Computer helpdesk or customer service experience.
- Understand and apply basic network security principles.
- Desire to aggressively improve analytical and technical skill set.- Minimum of one (1) year experience at an IAVA or VMS Program.
Desired Experience: - Experience within a Computer Network Defense Service Provider (CNDSP) - Network+, Security+, CEH certification Education Requirements: Bachelor of Sciences degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Information Security and Assurance OR Two-year technical degree and two years of directly related experience Additional: WareOnEarth Communications, Inc., an SMS company, leverages our vast background in Information Assurance (IA) and Security (InfoSec) for cutting edge, mission critical government network solutions (eg Department of Defense [DoD], Department of Treasury, DEA).
