IT Purchasing Assistant Job in Plano 75074, Texas US
IT Purchasing AssistantDescription: Plano company seeking a candidate with IT Procurement experience.
This person will be responsible for: the development of software contracts and associated services for the client, concentrating in the IT area, proactively assist with the management of the software category and related services by tracking spend by category and by vendor, develop preferred suppliers analysis while maximizing year over year savings, work with client and industry specialist on supporting RFP and competitive bids, source and analyze potential M/WBE suppliers, develop, track and deliver targeted client purchasing productivity objectives, support the development of global agreements with major suppliers and achieve maximum leverage of the suppliers capabilities for client, work closely with the client's department to ensure full client leverage and protection through the development of solid agreements and develop regular communications with clients, including occasional periodic executive updates.

Requirements: Must meet the following requirements: Undergraduate degree in Business, Purchasing or Information Systems preferred.
MUST have 5-10 years of experience in purchasing and IT contract negotiating (specific requirement).
Strong analytical skills, using thought leadership to consult on strategy setting and execution.
Demonstrated solid vendor negotiation and personal time management skills.
Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse set of people, including executive levels of management.
