IT Project Manager - CM, SharePoint, Excel, PPT Job in Chicago, Illinois US
Responsibilities for the IT Project Manager include: Manages cross-functional projects requiring cross-divisional coordination, communication, influence, and negotiationDemonstrates an understanding of customer's tactical goals and effectively participates in the development and implementation of business solutionsManages project risk through comprehensive mitigation assessment and planning techniquesActively manages the work efforts of multiple functional resources through the project planEstablishes basic scope control proceduresDevelops documentation; monitors and reports project status; assesses the effectiveness and accuracy of documentationInitiates and maintains reporting relationships with project stakeholders including team members, peers, managers, customers, vendors, and other affected departments to coordinate efforts across multiple business units and ensure continuous efficient management of projects; gathers input and feedbackWorks closely with Business Analysts, QA, Development, and Systems Engineering teams to deliver changeEnsures effectiveness of implemented changes and solutionsAnalyzes and reports project status and research information; monitors project performance to maintain the quality of services, deliverables, and contentEffectively assists in directing both internal and external resources to achieve business solutions within project guidelinesResponds to operational issues and RFI's within defined areas of responsibility while progressing on project workCollaborates and communicates with other project managers and leaders to coordinate cross-project initiatives and activitiesIdentifies and eliminates obstacles to solution plans, business goals or implementationAssists in the development and implementation of contingency plansThe successful applicant typically has 4 or more years of experience in change management (preferred).
Project management certification or equivalent experience is also preferred.
