Position Summary: Plan and implement technical infrastructure related projects utilizing internal and external technical staff to ensure projects meet IT requirements, are on time and within budget.

Resource planning, forecasting, budgeting and cost effective asset acquisitions are key components in leading IT Technical Operations projects.

This position will be tasked with managing multiple projects at the same time.

Strong understanding of the network, server and telephony infrastructure as well as understanding other IT areas as web development, application development, data base administration and data warehouse administration.

Key Accountabilities: 80% Project Management - - manages technical projects from budgeting phase through implementation resolving timeline, costs and technical challenges.

Budgets for projects by leading and gathering cost estimates from internal and external vendors for software, hardware and labor required to implement each project.

Works with Finance and Legal departments in the creation and approval of AFEs, Statement of Works and other required documents.

Create and update detailed project plans that outline specific tasks that need to be accomplished to ensure successfully deployed initiatives.

Proactively measures and initiates positive problem resolution steps for issues that arise during implementation of projects.

Follows IT guiding principals when creating project plans and implementing solutions.

Develops changes to IT processes that result in more efficient, cost saving procedures for future projects.

Assign tasks and manage their progress to completion, documenting significant variations from originally estimated costs.

Provide written and verbal updates on the status of projects to appropriate business and IT leadership teams in a timely manner to ensure project schedule corresponds to company needs.

20% Implementation and relations - - serves as a resource for management in creating and maintaining professional, respectful, and productive relationships for all projects.

Develops, interprets, and communicates policies and procedures to provide guidance, and support to employee issues related to project plans.

Partners with business customers, 3rd party vendors and IT staff to develop discipline and corrective actions plans for issues that arise during projects.

Serves as an IT leader in helping address and resolve performance issues.

Communicates clearly on the factual status of project progress, issues, timelines and implementation metrics.

Perform 3rd party vendor management tasks ensuring partnerships provide company with valuable relationships in the implementation and support of our systems.

Required skills Bachelors degree in IT or other technical related field or 3 to 5 years of related IT Project Management experience; or any combination of equivalent education and experience Proven knowledge and ability in Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Project and written technical documentation skills.

Strong knowledge of the technical operations infrastructure including; servers, network and telephony.

Knowledge of SQL server Knowledge of Windows server Knowledge of Networking/Cisco systems Voice/data/vendor ports Cisco switches Firewalls Voice over Knowledge of basic telephony Understanding of the different areas of IT that could be involved in projects such as data base administrators, software development, web development and production support of systems.
