IT Help Desk-Level 1 Job in Excelsior 55331, Minnesota US

We are a multi-million dollar privately held company with eleven facilities in four states.
We are looking to fill an IT Help Desk-Level 1 position within the Information Services department at our corporate office in Excelsior, MN. Primary responsibilities of the position include: o Support users of Company local area networks and PC systems located in multiple locations in MN, WI, WA, and NC.o Respond to user requests for help, troubleshoot & fix problems and escalate to senior staff appropriately for fast resolution.
o Perform initial setups, moves, adds, & changes of PC systems, software, and printerso Maintain inventory listing of IT assetso Assist with planning, implementing, and operating corporate local and wide area networks, and server and desktop computer systemso Monitor network and system performanceo Assist with periodic IT operations; functions including routine backups, periodic runs of reporting applications, printing of A/P checks, data export/transform/load applications, and maintenance.
o Perform additional duties as necessary This position requires: o Must possess a high school diploma or equivalento Associates or Bachelors degree in IT preferredo Must have a strong sense of teamwork and customer serviceo Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skillso Must possess a valid drivers license and have reliable transportationo One year experience with day to day support and operations of local area networkso Previous experience with installing & troubleshooting LAN wiring, switches, & hubs requiredo Previous experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft desktop operating systems and applications is required.
o Previous experience with Microsoft server and Linux operating systems preferred.
