I.T. DESKTOP SPECIALIST Job in BOSTON 02109, Massachusetts US

The successful Help Desk and Desktop Specialist will be responsible for monitoring the Help Desk queue and providing hardware and software support to our office environment.
System administration and other duties will be added as aptitude and interest allows.
In this dynamic and varied role, your responsibilities will include: — Working closely with all members of the Experience team — Building and configuration of laptops, desktops, servers and projectors — Managing help desk requests (troubleshooting PC issues, phones, network, Windows, Linux, etc.)— Administration of phone and card swipe systems— Maintaining tape backup systems— Minimal off-hours support when needed— Project work as neededThis position reports to the Manager of Computer Operations, in the Engineering organization.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in hands-on technical support positions and both hardware and software skills in Windows and Linux at user-level at least, admin-level preferred.
This candidate should have strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
