Human Resources Coordinator Job in New York , New York US
Job Description: General Summary: Under supervision of the Director of Human Resources, assists in the administration of recruitment and labor relations areas of the Human Resources department for both Elmhurst and Queens Hospitals.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities: * Manages the recruitment process for both Elmhurst and Queens Hospitals.
Communicates directly with department hiring managers to determine staffing needs and ensure budget approval.
* Work with the Director of Human Resources to design and maintain a recruitment tracking system.
* Responsible for writing and posting job advertisements on various websites and publications.
* Assist the International Personnel department in the processing of visas and green cards for current and future employees.
* Draft offer letters and consult with the Director of Human Resources to determine appropriate N B U and BU compensation.
* Assists the Director of Human Resources with Labor Relations Issues such as: Training and Education, employee relations investigations, grievances (and Non-Union).
Provides follow-up and suggests solutions to complex employee/labor relations issues.
* Oversee the maintenance of' the HRIS system administrator.
Ensure compliance with 1199 contract compensation.
* Work with the Director of HR to develop training programs to educate staff on Human Resource and labor and employee relations policies and procedures.
* Work with the Director of HR to design a program to educate managers/administrators about record keeping and compliance with various state and federal laws, such as FMLA and Affirmative action.
* Works in conjunction with the Compliance Analyst to implement Elmhurst and Queens Hospital Center's Joint Commission Strategy.
* Answer employee questions regarding hospital benefits, including ST IQA and 403 (B) policies* Assist the Director of Human Resources and Staff in the planning and implementation of Human Resource policies and practices which provide a balanced program throughout the hospital.
Job Qualifications: * Requires at least 4 years of Human Resources generalist and supervisor experience preferably in Health Care.
* Bachelors degree, a Masters is optional.
