Holiday/Seasonal Sales Associate - Temporary/ Day Part Time Hours Including Weekends: Macy's Roosev Job in Garden City 11530, New York US
Overview: As a Holiday/Seasonal Sales Associate, you will have the opportunity to work a part time schedule on a temporary basis, including days, evenings, and weekends and busy sales events such as the day after Thanksgiving and the day after Christmas.
Responsibilities include demonstrating outstanding customer service skills, meeting hourly selling and loyalty goals, providing product knowledge to our customers and working as part of a team to meet individual, department and store objectives.

Key Accountabilities: Greet customers within 30 seconds and begin the process of delivering an outstanding Macy's shopping experienceMaintain a positive professional attitude reflecting Macy's commitment to our customerPromptly and professionally answer all telephone inquiriesThrough the use of vendor and store product knowledge tools, become familiar with merchandise and share this information with our customersClose every sale with the offer to place it on a Macy's account, and offer to open an account if the customer does not have oneBe familiar with all markdowns, special promotions, clearance and advertised merchandiseKnow and use all Macy's systems and procedures to enhance selling efficiencies and complete non-selling dutiesAssist in maintaining merchandise presentation standards; in particular a clean, neat, and easy to shop environmentBe familiar with merchandise in back stock, and continuously replenish the selling floor as needed Skills Summary: Ability to work a part time retail schedule including days, evenings, and weekends, the day after Thanksgiving, and the day after ChristmasEnthusiastic, friendly, and energeticPossess a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service, including both internal and external customersDetail-oriented, with strong organizational skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to multi-task, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the businessAbility to work as part of a team, and take initiative independent of direct supervisionPrevious retail experience preferred, but not required Macy's is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
