netezza.com Accountability/Scope (range of responsibilities): As a member of the IT team, you will be working along side a dynamic group of professionals tackling a variety of challenging projects and tasks.
You will be responsible for providing customer support, deploy business-critical servers and workstations, create and update technical and procedural documentation, analyze, research, and resolve complex issues leveraging a variety of different resources, and implement cutting-edge server and network technologies in real world environments Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities: · Resolve user issues in a timely fashion via ticketing system, phone calls, and walk-up's.
· Provides instructional training to new hires for system use and company policies.
· Image and troubleshoot PC and Linux hardware issues.
· Setup and maintain printers and network file shares.
· Manage and administer corporate cell phones· Maintain hardware and software inventories.
· Required to carry a cell phone.
· Report issues through appropriate channels for timely and effectively escalation.
· Work with team members to monitor, patch, and review system performance and capacity.
· Write clear and concise articles documenting procedures for troubleshooting and system management.
Required: · Experience with network administration, including setup of user accounts, VPN, network printing, password resets, etc.· Experience providing phone support and training to computer users, including remote access, printing, basic Windows functions, basic email and office tool support, hardware troubleshooting.
· Experience setting up and rebuilding computer hardware and installing software.
· Excellent troubleshooting skills with an intermediate to advanced level of knowledge in Windows XP/Vista & 2003, MS Office Suite, remote access, and file and print services.
· A proven track record for ensuring user needs is met in a timely fashion.
· Knowledgeable in repairing Dell laptops, desktops, and servers.
