Helicopter Repairer (Aircraft Mechanic - Helicopter Maintenance & Repair) Job in Santa Fe, New Mexico US
If youre looking to take your mechanical skills to the next level, then join the Army National Guard and watch your future take flight as you specialize with one of the helicopter designs used to achieve our State and Federal missions.
Each of the Guards helicopters is designed and built to fulfill specific functions: duties range from heavy duty cargo transport to light and quick scouting flights.
And because of their diverse functions, their component systems and subsequent maintenance and repair needs are unique to each design.
It takes a professional with highly specialized knowledge for each type of helicopter to keep them flying high.
The Army National Guard may have positions available for a: UH-1 Helicopter RepairerUH-60 Helicopter RepairerCH-47 Helicopter RepairerObservation/Scout Helicopter RepairerChoose any of these positions and you will gain the skills and knowledge necessary to not only keep the Guard flying high, but also your civilian career.
The skills you will learn in these positions will help prepare you for a future with aircraft manufacturers, commercial airlines, and government agencies as an airframe or power plant mechanic.

In the Army National Guard, you will learn these valuable job skills while earning a regular paycheck and qualifying for tuition assistance.
Job training for these positions consists of nine weeks of Basic Training, where you will learn basic Soldiering skills.
Following that, you will also participate in Advanced Individual Training (AIT) to learn specifics of your chosen specialty.
Part of this time is spent in the classroom and part in the field.
