Our Towson campus is searching for a dynamic HIT Program Chair to add to the team.

As a Health Information Technology Program Chair you will provide your students with the skills and knowledge necessary to obtain entry-level employment in their field of study.

In our collaborative environment, you will prepare students with the knowledge, skills, and work habits for a successful career.

What you will do: - Assist in implementing and continuously improving the student retention program.

- Continuously evaluate and update programs to ensure they meet or exceed current market and employer demands.

- Hire and train instructors and support staff.

- Participate and support the professional growth and personal development goals of faculty and staff.

- Conduct regular performance evaluations of department personnel.

- Monitor and evaluate satisfactory academic progress of all the students in your program.

- Assist with scheduling of courses, students, faculty, and facilities as well as teach courses when appropriate.

If you believe in "Building Futures One Success Story at a Time" you will thrive here!Qualifications: Skills and experience you need: - Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred, in a related field - Minimum of 3 years work experience in an occupational or technical related field- AHIMA certification of either RHIT or RHIA (RHIT preferred)- Documented successful classroom teaching experience at the post-secondary level, or equivalent private industry experience is highly desirable.

- Experience managing and motivating professionals- Strong presentation and organization skills, excellent persuasive communication skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and Front Page (Office 2007); MOS or MCAS also desirable.
