HR Personnel Specialist and Benefits Champion Job in Chula Vista 91910, California US
The Human Resource Department is looking for a friendly team player that is willing to tackle employee issues with a smile and add vibrancy to our culture.
This full time Human Resources Administrator will report to the Director of Human Resources and is responsible for day to day tasks and support functions.
Must be able to think through problems and come up with reasonable solutions.
Must be able to take direction and ask questions for clarity.
Must be comfortable emailing and calling employees directly and working through any issues such as benefits, timecards etc. Time management and organizational skills are essential in order to be successful.
As you handle the day to day Human Resources Administrator duties you will need to be detailed, accurate, thoughtful and responsive when completing your tasks.
Definition of success: Respond to Calls and Emails within one day of receiptSolve 90% of questions on first call or emailAttend Paychex training within one month of hire dateEnter new hires into Preview every other weekEnter new hires into Dynamics every WednesdayEnter Benefits in Benetrac within two days of employee start dateEnroll employees in online training within two weeks of start datePerform payroll audit every other Tuesday and have complete within two hours of receipt of auditArrange, compile and complete Newsletter on Quarterly basis.
Must be emailed to all employees within two weeks of start of new quarter10.
Master all MTCSC policies within two months of hire date11.
Master Dynamics, Preview and Benetrac within three months of hire date (including Dynamics and Preview reports)12.
Master the various benefits MTCSC offers to employees within two months of hire date13.
Print, submit and take action on all payroll reports every other Wednesday14.
Perform background checks on new hires within two days of receiving offer letter and necessary forms15.
Take action on Step 6a/1a in the workflow within 24 hours of receiving email notification16.
Schedule interviews for California candidates17.
Perform Behavioral interview with all candidates18.
Upload documents to Sharepoint weekly.
Spend minimum of two hours per week.19. Keep accurate records and documentation QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Any combination of education and experience which demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
One to two years of experience and an Associate degree in business, public administration, personnel/human resources, or a related field is preferred.
Strong decision making ability.
Ability to relate to and communicate effectively with others.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Ability to establish good working relationships with all levels of staff.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
