Guest Service Team Leader (Department Manager) Job in Little Rock 72212, Arkansas US

As the Guest Services Team Leader you will provide overall management and supervision of the Guest Services department to assure all objectives and goals of the department and store are met or exceeded as communicated by Store Leadership and Regional Coordinator.

You will lead, mentor and develop the team to achieve and surpass all department goals.

Consistently communicate and model Whole Foods Market vision and goals.

Ensure cash accuracy, expense control, and regulatory compliance.

Maintain exceptional level of guest service.

Follow through on all guest questions and requests.

Interview, select, train, develop and counsel Team Members in a manner which builds and sustains a high performing team and minimizes turnover.

Make hiring and termination decisions with guidance of Store Team Leader.

Create a labor schedule to leverage productivity within the needs of the department.

Ensure all Team Members are completing New Member training program.

Includes monitoring progress and processing all required paperwork.

Ensure all Team Members are following Regional and National cash control standards.

Establish and maintain a positive work environment, which sustains an exceptionally high level of Team Member morale.

Communicate company goals and provide information to Team Members.

Establish and maintain collaborative and productive working relationship with Store Team Leader, Guest Services Coordinator, Team Leaders and all Team Members.

Model and cultivate effective inter-department and inter-store communication, including conductive effective department meetings; attend store and regional meetings.

Select and develop supervisors as potential Team Leaders.

Thorough and complete documentation in support of Team Member discipline and counseling activities.

Provide timely, thorough and thoughtful Job Dialogues.

Communicate and maintain Team Member safety and security standards.

Financial Management: Possess a firm understanding of department financial and labor budgets.

Project weekly sales and annual expenses and prepare annual operating budget.

Provide accurate, complete information in daily, weekly, monthly, annual and "ad hoc" management reports.

Establish and maintain positive and productive vendor relationships.

Merchandising/Marketing Management: Continually increase product knowledge of you and your team using all available resources.

Sustain exceptional level of knowledge/awareness of relevant competitors and industry trends.

Oversee adjustment of displays according to movement, promotions and profitability.

Participate in regional and national sales promotions.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required: Minimum of one year relevant experience as a Team Leader, Assistant Team Leader, Supervisor or equivalent.

Good communicator and motivator; able to work well with others and convey enthusiasm.

Thorough knowledge of relevant technologies and cash room procedures.

Must be self-motivated and solution-oriented.

Excellent verbal and written skills.

Ability to work varying shifts including nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Iteration of duties.

Working Conditions: Exposure to temperature variations and wet conditions.

May walk and work on uneven surfaces.

Requires reaching above and below shoulder height.

Some exposure to dust, gas, fumes and chemicals.

Repetitive use of hands with power grasping and fine manipulation.

May need to use a ladder or stool to reach product or supplies.

Repetitive stretching and lifting required.
