Group Supervisor, Patient Services Job in Ann Arbor 48103, Michigan US
The Group Supervisor is in charge of training, coaching and providing performance feedback and recognition to employees in a team and keeps management informed of issues.
Supervises departmental work activities, staffing, and scheduling to achieve business objectives.

Meets with employees on a regular basis to provide employee with performance feedback.
2. Supervises departmental work activities, staffing, and scheduling to achieve business objectives.
3. Maintains knowledge of disease states along with related medications and supplies to ensure accurate and complete information and services are provided to patients.
Enforces communication guidelines for technicians in accordance with pharmacy law[^%dot%^
4. Provides support to all areas of the facility and assists with completion opertaional duties including prior authorizations, schedule first orders, compliace calls, insurance verification, follow-up, enrolling patients and issue resolution.
5. Monitors and reports daily team and individual performance statistics and assists with extrapolation of data from system applications to develop reports regarding productivity trends.
Advises management, Analyst and Trainer of findings and trends.
6. Assists in the development and updating of Standard Operating Procedures related to system applications, programs, processes and merchandise.
7. Participates in the recruitment process of potential employees and performance management of current employees including but not limited to screening applicants, interviewing, employment decisions, performance evaulations and terminations.
8. Acts as an agent of Walgreens by projecting a positive attitude, enthusiasm, team spirit, and intergrity in order to motivate the team, creating a positive work environment, and reaching and exceeding department goals.
9. Participate in the company Quality Improvement program and education programs as per policy and procedures.
10. Other related duties as assigned.

High school diploma/GED required.
Bachelor's degree, professional (CphT) certification, or equivalent training and experience preferred.Two to five years experience in a lead or supervisory role required.

5+ years experience in healthcare or specialty pharmacy preferred.
1+ year on the facility IT system strongly preferred.
3+ years leadership experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge and training in all of the non-pharmacist stages of the system to enable processing of urgent orders.
Knowledge of specialty medications and disease states.
Ability to learn and use new computer systems.
Work independently with little direct supervision.
Pass Pharmacy Technician Certification exam within 1 year of obtaining Technician License in order to maintain required Technician License.
