Honeywell is currently seeking a Global Leader-Transportation and Logistics for their Morristown, NJ location.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the procurement and operational performance of warehousing and bulk storage facilities.

This position also leads the procurement and regulatory compliance efforts of the business bulk transport fleet equipment and ensures that the logistics responsibilities of the freight payment are carried out in accordance with all Honeywell and provider contract agreements.

Warehousing: Responsible for sourcing, contracting and operational performance of package goods and bulk storage facilities on a global basis.

Products include standard and dangerous goods.

Annual spend of approximately $25M across 80+ facilities.

•Collaborates with businesses to determine optimal locations and transportation access.

•Negotiates all contracts.

•Oversees initial and ongoing dangerous goods audits and follow-ups to ensure compliance with all governmental requirements.

•Initiates integration of SAP interfaces with ongoing monitoring.

•Coordinates establishment of inbound/outbound transportation in conjunction with mode manages and overall transportation management 3PL.

Bulk Transport Fleet Equipment: Responsible for sourcing, contracting, maintenance and regulatory compliance of private fleet tank trailers, tractors, IOS tanks and chassis.

Overall fleet totals 1,350 pieces of equipment that are all subject to Dangerous Goods regulatory compliance standards.

•Determines specifications with input of business engineering and dangerous goods leader.

•Contracts with providers for leasing/purchasing.

•Establishes contracts with shops for all maintenance and regulatory testing.

•Develops and monitors budgets for leasing and maintenance of fleet equipment.

•Coordinates all maintenance and regulatory testing schedules with plant and business personnel.

•Oversees implementation of proper regulatory loading and unloading procedures with plant personnel.

•Ensures that fleet related regulatory changes are implemented across all sites.

•Reviews performance of provider and Honeywell operations to ensure ongoing regulatory and contractual compliance.

Freight Payment: Responsible for collaboration with Finance Leader to ensure that processes are in place and being followed to accurately and timely pay all SM freight bills in accordance with the SAP process as well as the terms and conditions of all global provider contracts.

Basic Qualifications: •Minimum of BS Degree in logistics, supply chain or related field.

•Minimum 5 years of experience in the logistics and bulk transportation equipment fields.

Preferred Qualifications: •Familiar with global dangerous goods regulations for highway and ocean transportation modes.

•Previous experience leading cross functional teams and projects on a global basis.

•Experience in commodity management for transportation services and third party logistics providers.

•In-depth knowledge and experience with negotiations and procurement processes, terms and conditions.

•Basic SAP operating experience.

•Proficient communicator with groups at all levels of the organization across multiple functions, as well as with third party providers of logistics services and transport equipment.
