Firmware Engineer Job in Woburn 01801, Massachusetts US
Company Background: My client, located in Woburn, MA, is a venture backed startup with a proven management team that is looking to transform one of the largest consumer product categories with a cutting edge technology.
With an agreement in place with a multi-billion dollar development partner, the companys focus is on extending the current product line to new markets on a global scale.
Firmware EngineerIn this fast paced position you will be responsible for developing embedded firmware for the companys new consumer products and also help support the codebase for the existing products in the field.
You will work with the engineering team to implement end product requirements and transition designs from bench prototypes to a manufactured package.
You will be responsible for documenting your firmware under a formal design process.
Required Skills: C and assembly programming8/16 bit microcontroller experienceFamiliarity with standard version control packages (SVN, CVS, SourceSafe, etc)Proficiency with electronic test equipment (Oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc) Innovative and enthusiastic self-starterStrong Analytical Skills Desired Skills: Medical firmware design experienceHardware development experiencePrior experience with Microchip PIC devicesScripting language (python, perl, etc) Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant design experience Education: BSCS/BSEE or equivalent Benefits: We offer competitive benefits including group medical, dental, life insurance, disability and a 401K.
