Ideally this person will quickly know everything there is to know about the instruments and their operations and willing to learn through experimentation, use, and discussion with the designers.
Duties: Knowledge and programming (embedded) of C, C Sharp, Visual Basic.
Address any questions which come from various points of contact throughout the company.
Establish ownership of the products which he (she) is responsible through engagement and understanding all critical functions of the instruments.
Troubleshoot issues related to manufacturing, suppliers, etc by setting up testing plans and coordination of problems to resolution.
Assist in new product launches by development and performance of testing plans looking for defects in mechanical, electrical, and software.
Provide training of customer service, field service, and sales on new products and features.
Create and update the technical content of work instructions, work flow and testing procedures.
Keep engineering log book for testing methods and records of experimentation.
Perform duties as directed by his supervisor.
Experience Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
Must have diverse background and understanding of mechanical, electrical and embedded software systems.
Must have superb troubleshooting skills in the above systems.
3-5 yrs experience is systems testing and troubleshooting.
Inter-personnel skills within the engineering team as well as other functions within the company.
Ability to work independently while interacting with engineering, manufacturing, and quality personnel.
Self motivated to learn new instruments and apply learning to new situations.
Ability to set up diagnostic testing and analyze data to support troubleshooting.
Requires pre-employment Drug/Alcohol testing and background investigation.
Hours - M-F 8:00-5:00.
