Financial Specialist Job in Houston, Texas US
CDM has an immediate opening for a Financial Specialist in the Houston, Texas office.
As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM's mission by: · Monitor program financial and administrative performance and compliance at the state, local and sub-recipient level,· Evaluate program/project reports and records for compliance, program accomplishments and performance measurement; · Write and update project financial management manuals and handbooks pertinent to specific areas of project management; · Position will receive construction progress invoices to enter into program software and Sage accounting software.
Invoices must be reviewed for accuracy, completeness, and allowability.
· Position must be able to clearly communicate with program staff, construction contractors, CDM subcontractors, and clients.
A successful candidate will have: · A Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related financial field· A minimum of 2 years relevant experience· Experience in working with and processing Accounts Payables,· Basic knowledge of accounting procedures and policies· Have well-developed skills in administration and organization, written and verbal communication, interpersonal relationships, multi-tasking and problem solving, and computer literacy (MS WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT etc.); · Possess a valid State drivers license or evidence of equivalent mobility.
· Experience using accounting software is a plus (specifically Oracle and\or Sage MIP) CDM has consistently earned industry recognition for our innovative project solutions.
