Financial Planning & Analysis Manager Job in Winston Salem 27101, North Carolina US
Substantial opportunity for a qualified FP&A Manager to move into a position of critical importance in a strong and profitable manufacturing division of a Fortune 500 company.
This role will be responsible for the preparation of the annual budget, monthly forecasts and strategic plan.
It will provide weekly / monthly reporting to help management achieve/ understand financial results as well as provide detailed analysis to assist management in decision-making.
Streamlining and improving forecasting processes to assure forecast accuracy and to focus more on value-add activities will be critical• Lead monthly forecast, annual budget and strategic plan.
• Improve forecasting processes to drive forecast accuracy, eliminate non-value add activities, provide analysis and drive accountability in the organization.
• Liaison for headquarters – financial requests / questions• Explain variances between forecast and actuals • Preparation of weekly / monthly performance reports• Special analysis / projects• Forecast accuracy.
• Detailed analysis exists to support forecast.
• Management relies on detailed analysis to assist in decision-making.
• Use of a more efficient financial reporting and forecasting system (ie: Hyperion vs. Excel).
• Financial reporting organized to drive accountability to each department owner.
• Weekly and monthly reporting done accurately.
• Understands business and can apply knowledge to forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Aware of situations or changes in the business and reflects in the forecast before variances occur.
• Works well with all departments – encourages exchange of information.
• Obtains root-cause explanation for variances.
• Organized and completes analysis and reports on time.
Qualified candidates must be considered by their peers as dynamic, self motivated, career and goal oriented, take charge and loyalBS in Accounting or Finance required and MBA's will be shown preference.
