FINANCIAL PLANNING & ANALYSIS MANAGERJob Summary The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager is responsible for building relationships and collaborating with group leaders to develop routine, expedient and insightful business metrics, reporting and analysis.
Reporting and analysis should encompass areas such as product sales performance, customer sales performance, customer satisfaction, profit and loss forecasting and analysis, cash forecasting, key performance indicators, benchmarking, pricing, and strategic support.
This position will provide meaningful reporting and analysis to management to enable managers and executives to make better decisions earlier so that the company can improve performance.
Req. Education/Skills BA or BS in Accounting or Finance required (or significant equivalent work experience).
CPA preferred.
6+ years related experience in Accounting or Finance.
Experience in educational product industry preferred.
Exceptional verbal and written communication, analytical and decision making skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at once while completing quality work on a timely basis and within frequent, tight, deadlines.
Management and supervisory experience with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
Experience and comfort working with sensitive & confidential information; exceptional ethics and judgment.
Exceptional interpersonal skills in dealing with staff, customers and vendors.
Ability to excel in a rapidly changing environment.
Expertise with MS Office (Excel intensive).
Extensive experience with data mining and custom reporting tools such as Crystal Reports.
Experience with QuickBooks preferred.
Strong service orientation.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to sit for long periods of time; ability to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer.
