ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES General
Work with Mgr of FP&A to prepare monthly financial statements.


Assist in month end close as needed.


Participate in the monthly forecast process and work with department managers to ensure the legitimacy of the forecast.


Perform monthly budget to actual analysis for operational departments.


Assist in preparing bid proposals, analysis and pricing for various contracts, products, and engineering initiatives.

Financial Operations Responsibilities
Partner with Manufacturing and Supply Chain organizations to monitor key performance indicators and develop action plans to mitigate areas of risk.


Perform monthly inventory reconciliation and analysis including quarterly inventory burden and reserve calculations.


Reconcile product revenue and product material monthly.


Perform trend analysis on material costs and investigate problem areas and recommend a resolution.


Monthly budget to actual analysis on product revenue and margin.


Perform detail expense analysis on COGS items and recommend process improvements.


Quarterly price list review and margin analysis of peripheral items to ensure consistent gross margin performance.


Perform margin sensitivity analysis on shipment volumes.


Assist in semi-annual physical inventory count and perform analysis for CFO review.


Perform contract profitability review by customer.


Serve as finance partner supporting Service department with monthly budget to actual performance analysis.


Service revenue analysis and deferred revenue forecast.

Work with service department to forecast monthly unit install rate and associated revenue.


Track warranty expense per installed unit and identify material differences as compared to the budget and assess impact on warranty accrual.


Perform monthly maintenance margin and cost analysis on installed unit base.


Serve as the finance point of contact on service proposals.


Review and reconcile all Return to Vendor transactions for warranty material returned from the field.


Perform contract profitability review for contract service revenue.


Design, enhance and maintain additional ad hoc reports to provide increased clarity and support to VP of Customer Service.

Skills/Requirements PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance.


1-5 years of experience in Finance & Accounting role.


Strong understanding of general ledger activities, accounting, financial statements and financial metrics.


Solid grasp of inventory concepts and cost accounting.


Experience working in a fast paced growing manufacturing environment.


Ability to communicate financial information to senior managers.


Experience with project and cost accounting a plus.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
Proficiency in Excel a must.


Understanding of financial modeling techniques and strong analytical skills.


Ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet strict deadlines.


Dependable, team player with strong attention to detail and strong willingness to learn from other team members.


Personable individual with ability to interact across all groups in the company.


Flexible mindset and ability to take on new challenges outside the job description as they arise.


Experience with a medium to large ERP System, Great Plains a plus.
