Field Application Engineer Job in Dothan, Alabama US
The Opportunity: Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative and detailed individual for our Field Application Engineer to provide technical support to the Southeast region of the US. Field Application EngineerResponsibilities: Help customers apply SEL products through visits, demonstrations, training courses and telephone contact.
Contribute to product specifications, application and testing software and literature.
Participate in SEL marketing and sales activities and industry technical meetings and conferences.
Maintain and improve knowledge of all SEL products.
Teach in training schools for customers and SEL personnel.
Maintain customer database for customer application information.
Follow and improve marketing, sales and engineering quality procedures.
Qualifications: BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university Minimum 10 years experience in protection of electric power systems Excellent technical training, speaking and writing skills Minimum of 10 years experience with protective relay applications and industry practices Ability to travel up to 35% throughout the southeast portion of the US Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Ability to work cooperatively in team environment Background check results satisfactory to SEL Negative drug test result(s)Preferred Qualifications: Experience using SEL products Professional Engineer license
