We seek leaders who want to be an integral part of our team! FINANCIAL ANALYST NEEDED AT CORPORATE GUITAR CENTER! Responsibilities: We are looking for a qualified candidate to assist with the ongoing maintenance and improvement of our corporate budgeting and forecasting systems and processes.
The role will support all divisions and requires a solid team player with a strong work ethic.
A qualified candidate will be responsible for: · Documenting our budgeting and forecasting processes.
This includes developing a thorough understanding of our corporate structure and the related systems that support the process (SQL server, Essbase, and Clarity).
· Developing and maintaining corporate and divisional templates, calculations, and reports to support the budgeting process.
This includes developing an in-depth understanding of our business intelligence tools (Clarity, Essbase) and finding ways to streamline all levels of the process.
· Performing research to systematically automate certain integrated processes such as step allocations and system calculations.
· Assisting with testing requirements to support software upgrades, SOX requirements, and our related production and development servers.
· Ad hoc financial analysis to support assumptions related to our budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes.
Requirements: · Bachelors degree in Business, preferably Accounting or Finance; solid understanding of accounting concepts and application· Minimum of 3-5 years of related professional experience required· Knowledge of Microsoft Office and advanced modeling skills in Excel, and solid understanding of Essbase and Hyperion is preferred· Strong interpersonal skills and well-developed written, verbal, and presentation skills· Must have excellent analytical and organizational skills and demonstrate a great attention to detail· Must be flexible to working overtime during peak business seasons In connection with an application for employment and/or promotion with Guitar Center, Inc., investigative consumer reports, which may include credit reports, criminal history consistent with applicable federal and state laws, motor vehicle reports, employment records, educational background or other sources of information may be requested.
