Equipment Technician/Operator Job in Shawnee 66214, Kansas US
Equipment Technician/OperatorDescription: Key Responsibilities/Duties: -Monitor all production equipment on the production floor for potential problems-Maintain company hand tools, radios, meters, indicators and maintenance equipment in proper condition-Perform daily, weekly and monthly scheduled and preventive maintenance on the production machines-Perform daily, weekly and monthly scheduled and preventive maintenance on the production machines in the FDA building-Monitor all production equipment in the production area of the FDA building for potential problems-Maintain machine maintenance and breakdown logs on all equipment used in the production areas-Observe company Lock Out/Tag Out procedures when performing equipment maintenance-Assure that all machine guards, covers, lids, doors, latches, safeties, etc. are in working order and in use-Perform duties in a safe and efficient manner-Work closely with production supervisor/management to recommend time saving measures through efficient setup and operation of the machines-Provide initial job setup as needed for production equipment-Perform machine operations on production equipment as needed and assigned by management-Monitor production operators to assure production equipment is operated in the proper manner to prevent abuse-Provide training to production staff on proper operation of equipment once setup is complete-Assure that operators are operating machines in a safe manner-Reload, update and reprogram(if necessary) pertinent software for production machines-Maintain plant inventory of all equipment parts.
Provide facilities manager with lists of needed repair parts to be ordered-Available on-call to provide off shift technical support (if needed)-Miscellaneous facilities maintenance jobs as requested by the Facilities ManagerRequirements: -Two years experience with production machine, preferably inserters and folders-Basic electrical knowledge.
