We have multiple opportunities available for an Engineering Technician II.Locations - Louisville, KY; Rochester, NYENGINEERING TECHNICIAN IIBASIC FUNCTIONThe Engineering Technician II supports engineers and a project as it progresses from design phase to installation including design, detail, CAD, establishing and maintaining CAD standards, generating material lists, tags, and testing the functionality of the signal system.
This position is involved with troubleshooting issues during factory and field testing and during cutover.

*Creates CAD drawingsB *Conducts all aspects of factory testingC *Generates tags from circuitsD *Provides detailing of circuitsE *Checks tag listsF *Answers questions concerning circuits from wiring personnelG *Troubleshoots problems in electrical circuitsH *Detail checkingI *Follows ISO/Engineering procedures are followed for CAD and Design ControlJ Follows test procedures and documents resultsK Performs factory and field testingL Establishes and maintains CAD standardsM.
Assists engineers with circuit designN Creates and adjust Bill of MaterialO Builds test simulatorsP Site specific manualsQ Adjusts and tests AF and AC track circuits, crossing gates, switch machines and train stop machinesR Assists and provides input for labor estimates and schedulesS Draws or corrects CADD files of signal circuitsT Details tie-in circuits for existing locationsU Attends Company and industry-related meetings, as requiredV Establishes individual goals which are aligned with the Company's business strategies and objectives.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONSA.
This position requires working in both the internal and external environment.
Activities occur inside and outside where the position will be subject to changes in temperatureB This position will be exposed to physical hazards and equipment where special training and safety considerations are requiredC This position has occasional exposure to noise, vibration, moving equipment, and various environmental conditions such as slippery railroad ties, catwalks or ballastsD This position requires working nights, weekends or non-regular hours to meet deadlinesE This position requires frequent travel.
BASCIS EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTSA.
Two year certificate (college or technical school) electrical related.

CAD training and knowledge of CAD drawingsC Electrical, circuits and wiring knowledge or experienceD One year or more experience in a factory or field environment using electrical tools, measurements and wiring circuitsE Familiarity with Transit and Safetran parts.
TECHNICAL ABILITIESA.
Ability to test and adjust AF track circuitsB Ability to set up chargersC Ability to conduct testing in the factory or field.
