We are currently seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineer for our San Antonio, Austin or Houston, Texas office.
Under the direction and guidance of a licensed engineer, the successful candidates duties may include but are not limited to the following: Perform research in water resources to develop new water supplies or better manage existing sources Perform analysis of historical water availability and usage Assist in the preparation of FEMA floodplain studies and reports Perform urban stormwater quality modeling including assessment of Best Management Practices on a regional scale.
Develop new and innovate approaches to watershed management for flood control, ecosystem enhancement, and water quality improvement.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: Master of Science degree in Water Resources Engineering or Environmental Engineering with a focus in water resources from a 4yr.
accredited college or universityBachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Hydrology from a 4 yr. accredited college or university1-2 years experience in water resources engineering Effective communication skills-both oral and writtenDemonstrated ability to work in a team environmentFamiliar with engineering principles, techniques, and proceduresWorking knowledge of computer applications such as AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ArcGIS preferredAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, clients, and public agenciesMust be able to work Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm with occasional overtimePape-Dawson offers an extremely competitive salary and benefits package.
