Engineer, Systems Job in Montgomery County, Maryland US
This position is located in our MD, Andrews AFB facilityDesigns and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems.
1. Performs systems test and analysis2 Participates in installing and upgrading of operating systems3 Provides input for documentation on new or existing systems4 Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements5 Identifies, analyzes, and resolves operating/hardware system problems6 Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility7 Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned8 Participates in special projects as required.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
2-5 years of related systems engineering experience.
Experience administering Microsoft Server 2008, SQL, Exchange, and SharePoint 2007 desired; A+ or Net+ certification required.
Travel in CONUS as well as internationally, 3-4 trips per year for 1-2 weeks each.
