Energy Analyst - Job in Santa Ana 92704, California US
Job Description: Specific Duties Perform building energy simulations and models in support of LEED projects, including new construction and existing buildings Work with a variety of energy analysis software appropriate to the specific project, including eQuest, EnergyPro, and IES Perform spreadsheet-based calculations of potential energy savings opportunities for projects at the planning stages and for policy development Review LEED credit documentation related to energy performance for compliance with standards Assist team members and client project teams with the interpretation of and compliance with ASHRAE Standar
90. 1 and CA Title 24 energy codes Participate with team members in sustainable design charettes and workshops Participate in energy audits of existing buildings (overnight travel may be required on occasion) Manage a high volume of concurrent projects Train junior engineers on energy modeling techniques and protocolsCapabilities/Attributes Required Specialized experience and technical expertise in energy analysis, modeling, and energy code compliance Experience with building systems design & operation and the implementation of energy conservation measures in buildings Minimum of ten completed energy modeling projects Demonstrated excellence in the use of energy modeling software eQuest and EnergyPro are required; IES, EnergyPlus, and other software is a plus Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word) Excellent ability for oral and written communications in English; Cooperative people skills to facilitate working with Project Managers and with Clients; Ability to effectively prioritize and execute numerous project responsibilities simultaneously; Degree in engineering, architecture, or related field a plus You can view all of our jobs online at http://www.appleone.com/?sc=11&id=506598
