Join our results-oriented team at GE Energy today! Role Summary/Purpose Lead the design, development and validation of embedded firmware for AC induction motor control applications.

Focus will be around large medium voltage motor drives.

Developed firmware architecture should maximize code re-use across control platforms, increase firmware reliability, and enhance productivity.

Essential Responsibilities * Develop software requirements and design specifications for individual programs* Develop schedule, track progress, and make task adjustments as necessary to maintain schedule commitments* Schedule and hold code reviews to ensure that standards are being met* Work with electronics hardware and systems personnel to determine and clarify project specifications* Participate in process tollgate reviews by documenting and presenting software design and reliability information* Develop and implement software test plans to ensure software quality and completeness to specifications* Lead and oversee development of service and engineering tools Qualifications/Requirements * Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field* Minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded firmware development, with focus in microprocessor based embedded real-time controls using CELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS* Ability to support limited travel for field validation (less than 10%) Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work.
