Carestream Health's Radiographic Image Capture organization is seeking an Electrical TechnicianPosition Description: We are seeking an electrical technician, supporting research and advanced development projects for digital radiographic capture programs within Carestream Health.
Examples of technologies currently being applied include low-power design for battery powered applications, wireless communications, advanced packaging including compact board inter-connect and application of DSP-based controllers.
The work will also include development and operation of fixtures to perform electrical, optoelectronic and x-ray imaging testing of new digital radiographic detectors.
We are looking for a team-orientated, self-motivated individual capable of working with others having diverse disciplinary backgrounds imaging physicists and semiconductor design engineers, for example, as well as mechanical and electrical engineers.
Required Skills/Experience: 10 plus years experience in similar roleAssociates Degree in Electrical Engineeing required, BS preferredSchematic capture experience, working knowledge of Mentor is desirableBench testing and debug of analog and digital circuitry, and board designs, using typical EE test and measurement tools: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, spectrum analyzersMaking small prototype boards, surface mount reworkRunning experiments, perform data collection, often using LabView -- programming in LabView requiredPerform data analysis, ability to present and articulate results, issues, and solutionsAttention to details, documentation, and dedication to qualityDemonstrates the initiative to identify what needs to be done and takes action Good problem solving skills, trouble shooting experienceAbility to work and communicate with a diverse team of peopleComputer skills spreadsheets (Excel), drawings and documentation (Word, Visio), presentation (Power Point)Minimum Education Level: Associates DegreeCompany Sponsored Relocation: NoCompany Sponsroed Immigration: NoCarestream Health is an Equal Employment Opportunity Enployer EEOE
