Our systems realistically replicate the heat, smoke, flames and chaos of a real fire emergency, yet do so in a controlled and environmentally sound manner.We currently have an excellent opportunity in Montvale, NJ area for a high potential, results oriented Electrical Systems Engineer to support projects, as well as after sale problem identification, correction and engineering.
Specific Job Responsibilities will include: - Design electrical systems to meet performance criteria within required time frame of proposal utilizing CAD-based software packages;- Recommend design revisions to give the Company a competitive price and performance advantage;- Maintain up-to-date technical and product knowledge by continued self-education and review of industry publications and standards;- Follow progress of products after sale to identify and design weaknesses to improve the next generation;- Perform analysis and design of customer approved proposal, including preparation of sketches for Designers, mechanical components and assemblies;- Analyze and design electronic systems and equipment of moderate complexity;- Generate PLC software code and related documentation utilizing Ladder Logic and a variety of scripting languages;- Prepare and present material to support design reviews;- Install and troubleshoot PC and PLC systems including networking components and associated software;- Assist Customer Service concerning the use of PC, PLC, and networked systems;- Perform other duties as assigned, or necessary for the operation of the Department and/or Company; At least BS Degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience is required.
Master(`9s degree is preferred.
- Knowledge of large scale electro-mechanical devices.
- Knowledge of PC software and engineering/computer hardware- Knowledge of Electrical Design software (Promis*E preferred).
- Knowledge of PLC systems and programming (Rockwell Automation systems preferred).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate to all levels of the company Occasional travel in support of system integration and testing.
