EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - Head of Immunology Discovery Job in Princeton 08540, New Jersey US
Set strategy on US Medical Affairs issues, coordinating with the Combined Global US Lead.
Lead the US Virology Medical Affairs teams ensuring integration across the medical function and alignment with business functions.
Ensure the successful execution of US Oncology Medical Affairs activities including US Post Marketing Trials Compassionate Use, US Advisory Boards and Congresses, US labels, promotional messaging, publication strategy and execution, independent medical Education, Charitable contributions, and Safety issues.
Partner with therapeutic area Business Unit lead on execution issues and US strategic issues as it relates to the US medical plans and activities.
Define and execute consistent Field Medical support, strategy and messages for therapeutic area.
Validate Global Value Proposition and work in a Disease area for the region.
Liaise with Global therapeutic area Medical Affairs leads and provide US marketing facing input into therapeutic area strategy, new indications and participate in the global medical affairs TA matrix team.
Approve US labels.
Responsible for resource allocation across the US and coordinating and management of US budgets for the therapeutic area.
Provide Medical Affairs input for US licensing and business development strategies and activities.
Partner with key opinion leaders in the US to gather information on current focused therapeutic area medical issues and questions.
Ensure effective partner with US commercial functions to develop post marketing trial plans that are aligned with unmet global and or US medical needs.
Ensure US messaging and communications including core medical education materials, abstracts, medical information materials, public relations materials, etc. are supported by scientific data.
Medical Vision and Execution.
Ability to create a medical and therapeutic vision that aligns with Global Medical Affairs and engages the Oncology US Medical Affairs group, drives successful execution of the strategy, conducts ongoing organizational assessment to identify gaps, redundancies and lead the design and implementation of solutions consistent with decisions made regarding the US medical affairs model.
Therapeutic Expertise.
Has expertise in Oncology therapeutic area to set the medical strategy that aligns with commercial and medical needs.
Managing Multiple stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment that includes interactions with multiple stakeholder groups commercial, global, regulatory, GDO, GCR, etc. Facilitates information flow and communications processes within and between own group and with other groups.
Resource Allocation.
Ability and willingness to allocate resources that results in the achievement of the strategic objective.
Manages and optimizes allocation of resources by creating transparency, identifying issues and opportunities, and effectively making resource trade offs.
Building a High Performance and Compliance Focused Culture.
Ability to develop an organizational culture that leads to ongoing excellence and drives accountability for and compliance of law, guidelines and policies.
