ETL Developer - Programmer Job in New York 10165, New York US

Job Description: The ETL Developer will be part of the Business Intelligence development team with a focus on ETL design, development, and support.
This individual will be responsible for ETL processes and tools as well as database loading and manipulation to ensure that the data needs are met throughout the course of the projects.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business users/developers to provide required data
Design and implement Extract, Transformation and Load (ETL) processes, programs and scripts
Assist with design and implementation of data warehouse and reporting
Conduct root cause analysis and resolve production problems and data issues
Validate the data in the database and also responsible for testing the routines developed
Provide ongoing maintenance and support of assigned ETL applications Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in ETL/Data warehouse development
Highly proficient in SQL and Oracle PL/SQL
Solid experience in analyzing query performance issues and modifying data structures or application code to remedy performance problems
Advanced knowledge in Shell and PERL scripting in Unix/Linux environment
Excellent understanding of relational and dimensional data models
Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaborative skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with changing priorities
Experience with Postgres, BusinessObjects, or Informatica a big plus
Experience with electronic systems for trading equities and/or options a plus
Experience with Bloomberg and Reuters market data a plus
Willing to provide production support
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related Pipeline is conveniently located across the street from Grand Central Station in Manhattan.
