EMBEDDED SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER Job in Santa Clarita 91350, California US
Expanding company in Santa Clarita has a full time position available for an experienced Embedded Software Test Engineer.
Duties and Responsibilities: Designs, develops, implements and provides technical leadership related to testing methods and equipment for evaluating standard and special devices.
Utilizes state of the art tools and test automation programming techniques.
Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and methods.
Must have the ability to perform in-depth analysis and provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate to significant scope and complexity.
Compiles data and defines/proposes changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.
Follows established procedures.
Works under general supervision.
Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy.
Takes on significant responsibility to contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills: The ideal candidate should be a motivated and teachable team-player, with extensive technical knowledge of advanced testing concepts and formal Software and Systems Verification and Validation strategies.
The Candidate should also possess knowledge and experience with System Design and functional allocation to system components.
The Candidate should possess knowledge of both Manual and Automated Testing Tools for Embedded Systems Testing (ie Labview, HP QualityCenter, etc.).The Candidate must have knowledge of Software and System Architectures, Software Engineering Best Practices, and strong programming and software design skills.
The Candidate should also have a deep understanding of SW/HW systems and be able to design test methods to evaluate the system for these types of failure modes.
The Candidate should have excellent Engineering and Problem Solving skills as well as strong communication skills and the ability to influence others.
A minimum of 5 years related experience is required as well as a BS Technical Degree.
