We provide a wide range of truckload freight carriage and logistics services to customer in the US, Mexico & Canada.
Headquartered in Eagan, MN, the company has over 1,300 professional drivers serving many of the Fortune 500 organizations.
The primary responsibility of our Driver Recruiters is to hire the best Drivers in the industry.
Specific job responsibilities include: Support the Support Center Manager in the established annual hiring goals.
Recruit via internet, phone and face-to-face.
Ensure timely follow-up on all driver leads and referrals.
Advise Manager & Support Center Manager (if in the field) of current travel schedule.
When applicable, schedule and conduct presentations and interviews for driving school students and entry-level applicants.
Includes weekend classes.
Request necessary advertising in a timely manner utilizing proper forms and established procedures.
Submit weekly and monthly reports in a timely manner.
Plan and submit for approval all requests for special hiring events for schools, military and community activities prior to the event.
Attend and participate in weekly conference calls.
Submit expense reports weekly.
Monitor supplies and request as needed (brochures, posters, pens, rulers, applications, hats, etc.). Leave weekly voice mail to company drivers and owner operators regarding recruiting events and special campaigns.
Initiate new contacts at truck stops, driving schools and truck dealerships.
Visit and recruit drivers at truck stops.
Participate in truck shows and special hiring events as needed.
Monitor competition by reading weekly newspaper ads in your area, hiring seminars, publications and advise department director of any major changes you see. Contribute to building a positive team atmosphere.
Success in this role is measured by the number of quality hires/week.
Required qualifications and competencies include: High School Degree or Equivalent.
1-2 years sales or recruiting experience, preferably in the trucking industry.
Ability to travel.
Must work with a high level of integrity.
Must have experience recruiting via the internet.
Previous sales experience preferred.
Must have phone-selling skills.
Communication Skills Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written form (in-person, phone, e-mail).
Demonstrated ability to address large and diverse groups of people.
Establish and Maintain Interpersonal Relationships Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships and maintain them over time.
Decision Making and Judgment Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best decision.
Organization and Planning Ability to plan, organize and accomplish work in a timely manner.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, exhibiting professional behavior at all times.
Professional and neat appearance.
Fluency in Spanish, Asian or Bosnian preferred.
Ability to work within an approved budget and be conscientious of expenditures.
Ability to address large and diverse groups of people.
Ability to work with people.
Ability to communicate in English in a clear and precise manner.
