Driver - Hammond, IN Job in Hammond, Indiana US
Job Description Airgas, Inc., North America's largest distributor of industrial, specialty and medical gases and related equipment and safety products is seeking a candidate for our Driver position at our Hammond, IN location.
Working with safety as the top priority, the Driver is responsible for delivering cylinders and hard goods directly to our customers.
Responsibilities include organizing routes in an efficient manner; operating a forklift; maintaining load manifests and other DOT vehicle documents.
Building a strong relationship with customers is a vital function of this position.
Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or equivalent, Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsements, and clean driving record is required.
Must be able to routinely lift 25-50 and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
A demonstrated commitment to customer service is also a must.
Knowledge of industrial and specialty gases a plus.
This is a safety sensitive position.
