Distribution Center Coordinator Job in Joliet 60431, Illinois US
Covidiens Distribution Center is looking to add a Distribution Center Coordinator (full time) to their team.
The 465,000 square foot facility is located in Joliet, IL and employs approximately 125 employees.
Scheduled hours will be Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm; with some possibility for overtime; flexibility is a must.
SUMMARY OF POSITION: The DC coordinator is to perform administrative functions for the distribution center.
Collects, reviews, and inputs data into a warehouse management system and audits output data.
May be expected to code data and input data for computer processing.
Identifies and resolves production related errors as well as perform various production control activities including gathering and filing records, reporting on use of materials, monitoring customer orders, and calculating production rates.
The position will require the employee to work closely with outside locations such as corporate, transportation and other distribution centers.
The position also requires excellent communication and teamwork with fellow DC employees as well as the distribution center staff.
DC Coordinator must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the logistics / warehousing field.
Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
The position performs a variety of tasks and works under general supervision and reports to the Office Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS1.
Compile production data for productivity utilization reports, quality and usage reports as it relates to the distribution center2.
Data entry of shipment details which initiates invoicing process3.
Utilize pick ticket management functions to process and print bills of lading and pick tickets.
4. Communicate with customer service and customers regarding shipments both outbound and inbound and assist in resolution of customer concerns5 Coordinate export shipments with Export Departments6.
Process merchandise returns and proof of delivery request7.
Prepare warehouse personnel order picking, checking and shipping paperwork8.
Perform all other duties assigned MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; Degree Preferred Experience: 2-5 years experience in Logistics / Warehousing or related field (Preferred) Preferred Skills QualificationsComputer Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, eOne, AS400)Verbal & Written CommunicationStrong Administrative SkillsAttention to Detail Basic math skills for numerical analysis Ability to multi-task, manage multiple responsibilities, flexible to change prioritiesAbility to work well in team environment as well as independently
