Director of Supply Chain - Report Directly into CEO Job in Rochester, New York US
OVERVIEW: Our client, a premier growing manufacturing company is seeking a Supply Chain Director to oversee its entire production planning and inventory management across a multi-national & multi-plant setting.
This role will focus on inventory, production and materials management and less on procurement; its a strategic based role and reports directly into the CEO / President of the company.
Ideal candidates will have experience across a large # of SKUs and also have a focus on Metal and Plastic Manufacturing.
GENERAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: · Develop and execute strategic supply chain design plans for each product line · Manufacturing planning for a multi-plant, multi-national manufacturing operation· Inventory planning for a multi-plant, multi-national manufacturing operation· Raw material procurement / Hedging strategies· Commodity metal: purchasing, inventory management and logistics· Make / Buy Analysis expertise, Off Shore production rationalization expertise· Ability to extensively utilize ERP Systems.
Prior experience working with ERP systems and systems implementations· Coach and mentor staff within the supply chain organization.
Must have the skills and capability required to supervise and manage direct reports· Proven general capabilities in materials management, contracting, and dealing with suppliers· Demonstrated skills in leadership, communications, and strategy developmentEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: · BS degree in the field of Business, Materials Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field; preferably have one or more of the following accreditations CPSM, APICS, CPM· MBA or MS in related field is preferred· 10 years of progressive materials management/procurement experience in a manufacturing company focused on metal and plastic part manufacturing· Manufacturing background required with direct experience in dealing with high SKU manufacturing plants· Cross Border (US Mexico) materials management/procurement experience· Must be a US Citizen or have a Green Card
