Director of Pension Operations (Employee Benefit TPA) Job in Mokena 60448, Illinois US

We are currently seeking an experienced Director of Pension Operations for our major national pension account.
The position is located in our Chicago (Mokena) office.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in business, management or related-field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable) and 7 to 10 years of employee benefits operations management and client services experience.
Defined benefit, Taft-Hartley pension experience preferred.
We are looking for someone with the interpersonal and technical skills necessary to interface with the client, lead the staff and manage the overall performance of the department in accordance with Company guidelines, client needs and legislative requirements.
This position is a critical member of the management team and will work closely with the Sr Vice President.
Responsibilities include: - assessing and overseeing quality and quantity of work produced in the department- assessing and developing staff- assessing, developing and managing departmental budget- assessing, developing, implementing and monitoring internal systems, policies and procedures to assure operations are in compliance with client needs, new developments, regulations and reporting requirements- interfacing directly with clients on pension related issues and changes in benefit plans- maintaining communications and effective working relationships with clients.
You must have the ability to lead by example, make tough decisions, drive issues and work successfully with internal and external contacts at all levels.
Also need excellent organizational, project management, communication and analytical skills and intermediate to advanced PC skills including Word and Excel.
