Director of Contract Administration Job in Chicago 60606, Illinois US
The Director of Contract Administration is responsible for the creation, evaluation, execution, and life cycle management of contract agreements.
The Director will be the primary accounting resource to work with Partners and Marketing/Business Development in establishing contract proposals for clients, and ensuring that agreed upon contract arrangements are properly documented.
Assist in identification, development, and implementation of new contract arrangement policy and processThis includes, but is not limited to: producing a schedule of various types of contract arrangements (such as fixed contracts, capped contracts, volume discounts, success premiums, hourly, etc)producing a listing of considerations to be applied in agreeing to contract arrangements, establishing procedures and protocol for agreeing to proposed contract arrangements and for evaluating them before and after a matter is completedMonitoring Firm compliance with client's interim financial reporting needs, client advance notice of rate changes, internal notification of expiring contract agreements, and other such contractual date milestones which impact the Accounting Department.
Liaises with Accounting Department personnel (CFO, Director of Accounting, Business Analysts) to determine the potential impact of contract agreements on the Firm's goals and objectives, and advising on effect of P&L.
Reviews RFPs to identify potential company/Accounting Department issues.
Requirements: 8-10 years of relevant experiencePrior management experince requiredMust come from a fee-based company, such as consulting/public accounting/services organizations.
CPA and/or MBA requiredAbility to work effectively in cross-functional teamsStrong communication and presentation skills a mustStrong project management and problem solving skills
