Participate in key directional decisions and share in responsibilities for quality service delivery as a contributing member of the Enterprise Web Services (EWS) Leadership Team.

Major job responsibilities align to the following five categories

1. Organization Effectiveness -a.

Manage a portfolio of internal improvement initiativesb.

Establish / Update controls that support key performance indicators, organization roles & responsibilities, application portfolio rationalization, management decision support tools, and best practicesc Establish / improve methods of collaboration, virtual team work and inclusivity2 Project portfolio management of select multi-Divisional and Corporate initiatives3.

Contract / Vendor Management -a.

Establish and manage controls for Software / Product Vendor agreements: document management, licensing terms & conditions, payment, utilization & compliance, etcb Establish and manage controls for Service Vendor agreements: document management, service quality contract adherence, utilization & compliance, etcc Initiate, participate & contribute to RFI / RFP/ evaluation efforts as necessaryd Align/ represent Enterprise Web Services team with Novartis IT Offshore PM

4. Global PMO/ Pharma IT Leadership / Senior Management reportinga.

Integrate EWS portfolio, tracking and quality reporting controls into the global PMO reporting agenda and strategyb Represent EWS in development and update of the Novartis IT Strategic Plan and influence alignment with Novartis Strategic Business Plan and strategic priorities5 Communications / Stakeholder Managementa.

Establish / manage a EWS communications plan and execute that plan to improve engagement, partnership, and transparency with internal, client and senior management stakeholdersb Track and market EWS accomplishments, capabilities, and contributions to Novartisc Establish / consolidate / improve EWS channels of communication and content quality.

This position requires about 10% travel (some global).

PRINCIPALS ONLY!Minimum Requirements: * A strong candidate should have 12+ years of diverse professional experience encompassing business consulting, systems development life cycle management, portfolio management, project/program management, service and vendor management.

* Bachelors degree in an engineering or IT related discipline* PMP / PMI certification or similar formal training* 8+ years experience in program management with track record of results (on time, on budget, on customer satisfaction) * Excellent presentation & communication skills: executive board level* Strong organization and negotiation skills* Proven ability to lead geographically, culturally, and skillfully diverse teams to achieve high quality desired outcomes * Demonstrated success driving and embracing change* Demonstrated successes delivering in a matrix, multi-disciplinary organization in partnership with stake-holders at all levels* Strong problem solving skills and a continuous improvement demeanor* High proficiency with MS Office Suite, Web collaboration and workflow tools.

* Pharma / Healthcare industry experience and major plus.
