Job Description: Director, Global Compliance Investigations – Natick, MAPosition Summary: The Director, Global Compliance Investigations oversee confidential investigations into allegations of employee violation of law, Code of Conduct or company policy, and make recommendations for remedial action where appropriate.

Responsible for overseeing direct reports and representatives of other functions conducting investigations.The individual hired will be a broadly skilled compliance executive who can lead and develop the Compliance Audit function.

Team leadership skills are essential and the Director, Compliance Auditing and Monitoring will provide professional development, mentorship and support to the geographically dispersed team.He or she will be expected to travel to the company’s facilities.

Ideal candidates will have strong leadership and communication skills and will be adept at presenting and interacting at the senior management level with business leaders across the company.Key RelationshipsReports To: Chief Compliance OfficerDirect Reports: ComplianceInvestigations teamOther Key Relationships: BSC Global Compliance StaffBSC Internal and External CounselBSC ControllersVP Corporate Analysis and ControlVP Corporate Accounting and Financial ReportingVP of Information SystemsVP of Regulatory VP of Quality Outside Auditors Major Responsibilities: Triage and assign all compliance and investigation matters, and provide oversight and management of all compliance investigations.

Provide direction to investigators in their development and execution of investigation strategy and reporting of results.

Ensure that investigation records are maintained and archived.

Conduct investigations where appropriate due to staffing, nature of issues, level of employees involved or other relevant criteria.

Develop, implement and provide training on investigation protocol and procedures.

Provide skills training on investigation and remediation issues; act as a resource/coach to staff and subject matter experts conducting investigations within various functions.

Establish and report metrics and evaluation of investigation activity to other functions and within Global Compliance.

Report periodically to Chief Compliance Officer, Global Compliance Steering Committee and others as requested on investigation activities and metrics and make recommendations for systemic responses to issues where needed.

Supervise investigation staff and other staff as may be assigned.

Remain current with all personal training requirements and ensure staff compliance with all training requirements.

Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvementthat supports Boston Scientifics’ Code of Conduct, Global Compliance Program, Quality Policy, and Quality System and enhances Global Compliance’s effectiveness in managing risk and advancing business process improvements within the Company.

Champion the adoption of best practices within the organization.

Promote a strong control environment where noncompliance is unacceptable and difficult to conceal.

Collaborate with Corporate Analysis and Control, Quality Assurance and other audit teams on compliance activities, risks and audits.

Coach direct reports in objective setting, regular communication and feedback, development activities and appropriate reward/recognition.

Ensure all Compliance Auditing and Monitoring employees create and implement meaningful development plans, and provide effective, timely performance reviews.

Attract, recruit and develop talent and leadership capability within the Compliance Auditing and Monitoring team.

Ensure strong succession planning so that internal candidates are being developed to fill key positions within Global Compliance.

Manage the Compliance Auditing and Monitoring budget.

Ensure complete, accurate, and timely reporting of expenses and work with the Chief Compliance Officer to efficiently allocate resources and maximize the cost performance of the organization.

Maintain a high degree of interest in professional development.
