Director, Enterprise Technical Services - Mainframe and Middleware - CICS, MQ, WAS, z/OS, DB2 Job in Chicago 60601, Illinois US
Location: Chicago, ILRelocation Provided: NegotiableEducation Required: Not IndicatedExperience Required: At least 10 yearsPosition Description: BASIC FUNCTION: This position is responsible for the direction and management of mainframe and middleware software teams located in Illinois, Texas, and Oklahoma.
The teams responsible for WAS, MQ and CICS based solutions including transaction managers, messaging systems, environment configurations, product install, product maintenance, environment administration, and server capacity planning.
Direct the development and implementation of initiatives across multiple locations and states.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelors degree in an Information Technology discipline and 10 years work experience OR 12 years total work experience
2. 10 years experience in managing technical operating systems in an enterprise scale environment including but not limited to mainframe operations, mid-frame, distributed, network infrastructure, communication protocol and capacity/performance
3. Demonstrated experience managing and leading solution integration with infrastructure such as Websphere Application Server (WAS), DB2, UDB, MQ, CICS, z/OS, AIX, Linux and zVM
4. Management experience with system programming and/or technical subject matter expert teams;5) Project and Change Management skills
6. Vendor management and interaction skills
7. Experience in the following corporate functions to include company business knowledge, public speaking/group presentations, delegation, meeting management: people management skills, budget analysis and preparation;8) Experience and knowledge in requirements needed to interface mainframe with mid-frame, distributed, e-systems, output, and network infrastructure operating systems;9) Ability to successfully manage staff located in a multi-location environment; This position can be located in Chicago, IL, Waukegan, IL, Richardson, TX or Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Additional Information: Travel Percentage: 25%
