Director - Emerging Platforms Job in New York City, New York US
Our client is looking for an experienced candidate to develop its vision, product strategy and technology roadmap for new and emerging content delivery platforms, across all business units.
The ideal candidate will have wide ranging experience and knowledge of mobile content access and digital video delivery, and a keen interest in shaping the marketplace of tomorrow.
Responsibilities: · Work with the R&D group and the business units to define and communicate a compelling vision of market opportunities in mobile, video and other emerging platforms.
· In close coordination with business units, specify and develop publishing systems, processes and workflows for mobile, video and other emerging platforms; · Contribute to the development of business plans for deployment of new products and services built on new technologies and emerging platforms.
· Manage software development in connection with operationalizing emerging platforms · Chart a roadmap for integrating innovations emerging from the R&D group into production systems.
· Provision and assemble hardware systems for demonstration in the R&D lab · Continually identify emerging opportunities for on new and emerging platforms.
· Develop relationships with leading companies in mobile, video and other new areas of innovation and opportunity for potential business and technical collaboration · Conceptualize innovative leading-edge product concepts with these longer-range time horizons and help create prototypes of these new product concepts for demonstration across the Company Requirements: · Bachelors degree · Minimum 5-10 years of Internet experience with record of achievement and innovation · Strong understanding all current mobile and video technologies · Experience managing software development · Ability to generate creative product concepts including hands-on ability to create software prototypes and unique hardware configurations · Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams, through influence, coordination and collaboration toward a common goal.
