DescriptionThe position of Digital Producer develops and manages the production of interactive projects for internet and other digital communications for the agency and its clients.

This person works closely with Art Directors and Digital Designers to develop and implement digital communications that are visually inviting, functional, dynamic, intuitive, and capable of maintaining the brand image and achieving the strategic goals / objectives set forth with a Senior Digital Strategist.

The DP has a strong understanding of both the technical and conceptual sides of interactive marketing.

A Digital Producer also: Leads day-to-day development of digital projects, working with the Digital Designer, Art Directors, and Account Staff Assists Senior Digital Strategist in defining implementation scope details of all projects Identifies and directs others in usability issues as it applies to browser compatibility, user interface design, and functional logic Designs, develops, and directs both internal and external resources during the development of interactive websites and other applications using HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, ActionScript 3, and other technologies / programming languages as needed Designs and constructs architectural and functional framework for Drupal CMS websites and other content management systems as required Oversees architecture for database design Identify and communicate needs from team members in order to complete digital projects Manages vendor performance through the course of a digital project Assures quality of product by enforcing quality checks Provides status reports of projects on a weekly basis Participates and contributes to client/project meetings Manages estimating and publishing content updates on existing websites Works with the digital team and art directors to concept and design websites and other interactive properties which will meet internally-focused and client-focused strategic planning objectives Research vendors and applications for programming and manage vendor relationships Desired Education /Qualifications · Bachelors degree communications design, or related field, is preferred but not requiredExperience in an interactive department and/or agency is desired 7-10 years of developing websites and other interactive elements using HTML and CSS Extensive knowledge of and experience with user-interface design and web best-practices Experience with programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Quicktime, Dreamweaver, PowerPoint, Flash, and Flex At least 5 years experience using programming languages including Actionscript, Javascript, PHP, Experience with newer scripting languages including JQuery and Actionscript 3 At least 4 years experience in the professional creative field a plus 7-10 years experience with and/or knowledge of web server hardware, site architecture, user interface requirements, web navigation, web page layout, cross platform issues, browser and platform compatibility and capability, animation, image compression, size and speed issues Simantel offers an attractive compensation package which includes competitive salary, 401(k) plan, PTO program, holiday pay, and a comprehensive benefits program.
