Diesel Technician/Mechanic Job in Geneva 60134, Illinois US
Job Title: Diesel Mechanic / Technician Location: Geneva, IL (60134)Department: Service Reports to: Service Manager FLSA Status: Non-exempt Business SummaryChicago International Trucks is comprised of eight dealer locations throughout Northern Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Position Summary This position is responsible for repairing and maintaining diesel engine industrial trucks according to dealership and factory specifications.
Essential Duties include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair Maintenance and repair of transport refrigeration units Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
Communicates with service advisor/dispatcher immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
Education and/or Experience 7+ years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid Commercial Drivers License required.
