Development Manager-Healthcare Experience Required Job in Atlanta, Georgia US
Manage a global team of Software Engineers to plan, architect, design, develop, and integrate enterprise software products while adhering to stringent quality standards and requirements traceability.
In conjunction with business owners and development leads, help define concurrent product roadmaps and feature prioritizations and track development timelines from inception to delivery.
Coordinate software development activities and demand forecasting for all portfolio applications, assigning Software Engineers to scheduled deliverables and deployments.
Ensure the team has adequate functional specifications and takes ownership of technical work item deconstruction and delivery estimation.
Review content, thoroughness, and quality of design work generated by the department while mentoring engineers of various skill levels to improve performance, collaboration, and communication.
Provide technical leadership in the software development lifecycle and selects / procures departmental software tools and third party components.
Be familiar with a variety of field concepts, practices, and enterprise development procedures including iterative methodology, daily scrum, and product backlog administration.
Drive philosophy of technology continuum across application portfolio and support cost-effective technical solutions with heavy focus on platform reuse and knowledge management.
Support bids, proposals, and marketing activities of custom-developed software and assist with new product introductions.
Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish solution delivery goals while directing the work of others.
A wide degree of creativity and innovation is expected.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree from a four-year College or University in Computer Science or Management Information Systems and 7+ years of experience or 10+ years of the equivalent combination of education and experience.
