Development Fundraising Campaign Coordinator Job in Lake Success, New York US

With over 200 field offices and its 1,400 employees, MDA local District offices organize special events and fund-raising programs, including the Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon, and administer local health care services.
Job Description: As a salaried Event Coordinator you will plan and implement fund-raising programs and special events, including local portions of the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon, be responsible for new sponsor development, cold-calling and working with corporate sponsors and interacting with families served by MDA. Local travel and some evenings and weekends are required.
Candidates must have reliable transportation.
Job Requirements: Requirements include previous sales and fund-raising experience, ability to organize and implement fund-raising programs and events, prospect new corporate sponsors and attain budgeted goals.
Strong organizational, communication, verbal and written skills are also important.
College degree preferred but not required.
Bilingual skills a plus.
