Desktop Support Job in El Segundo 90245, California US
This is a temporary position for an estimated duration of 6 months.
Job Duties: -Coordinate with CSC, transportation and the SAS IT UNIX team for the delivery of new SGI hardware.
-Unboxing new hardware, racking & stacking, initial power-up, coordinating electrical outlets, cooling, temporary unclassified network connectivity.
-SGI parts replacements - work with the SAS IT UNIX team to coordinate replacement parts delivery from SGI. -Escorting SGI within the Raytheon facility to perform on-time hardware installs, on-sit parts replacement in unclassified areas.
-Recording new and existing SGI machines in SAS IT asset database, reconciling hardware/software maintenance contracts with SAS IT Demand Management.
Required Skills: -Ability to take on a project with minimal supervision, requires good organizational/communication skills -PC Support experience preferably in multiple user environment -Ability to lift up to 20 lbs -Unix experience highly desired Required Education: Some college or technical education in the Computer Science or Information Technology field.
Clearance Requirement: US Citizenship required for purposes of obtaining security clearance.
